Cathay Pacific and McCann Erickson brought us on board to develop a market-leading app that would give tourists an eye-opening journey through the city of Hong Kong.
Visitors wanted to navigate their way through the city easily in English or Chinese, finding the best sights, spots, museums, bars and restaurants.
We created an Augmented Reality engine. Coupled with a detailed city guide complete with over 7,000 hotspots and useful filters including distances, restaurants and museums, the traveller can easily navigate their way around the city. And, with all the app content available offline, the traveller isn't subject to expensive data roaming charges.
As a result of the above three factors, we developed a beautiful, high-resolution window to Hong Kong, interactively revealing fascinating features of the city.
Discover Hong Kong was featured as the best travel app in iTunes China. We are delighted to have received a Silver Galaxy Award for this app, and to have it recently nominated for a prestigious Webby Award.
